MicroEnergy International offers a new internship position starting in July 2014 for a period of 3 to 6 months. This is a great opportunity to get first-hand experiences in administration especially finance and human resource and to acquire new knowledge about microfinance and renewable energies. The intern will work in a young and dynamic environment with an international and multidisciplinary team. 

 

Task Description

 Under the supervision of the Business Administration Officer, the intern will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Assists the Business Administrator with the day-to-day management of budgetary, financial, personnel and administrative functions for the company.
  • Assists to perform monthly reconciliation of accounts and generate monthly financial and budget reports for company.
  • Monitors the preparation of personnel and administrative documents and advises personnel on a variety of administrative issues; reviews documents for accuracy.
  • Oversees overall office administration in the absence of the Business Administrator.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

 

  • Education: Business Administration preferably Finance, Human Resource  
  • Excellent writing skills in English and German (at least close to native speaker level) additional French and/or  Spanish a clear advantage
  • Strong calculation skills, especially spread sheet calculation with Excel
  • Strong communications, organizational and intercultural skills
  • Good knowledge of word processing
  • Experience in an international development organization is an asset
